The goal of course was to make Melissa my lovely bride, yes finally. But prior to asking, the "old school" in me said that I was to talk to her parents, not on skype or on the phone, but in person to ask for their daughters hand in marriage. So in preparation, yes, I lied and told Melissa I was going to Bend to help my parents pack to move, but instead I snuck down to California to take her parents out for dinner to pop the second largest question of my life so that I could ask Melissa the first largest question of my life..will you marry me? So here it is, the truth... and for the record, she forgave me and as of December 20, 2009, we are engaged to be married. Please enjoy...
